The new announcement

How is everything going??? Things are going pretty well here. We have been visiting a lot of less actives these past couple of weeks. We do need prayers for the investigators. That is a challenge that we are facing.

The conference was pretty awesome. That is really going to help the stake and ward here in Guadalajara. I really enjoyed everything from the songs to announcements to the little videos. I felt the Spirit really strongly. I know that the Apostles and President Thomas S Monson are prophets called of God. We are preparing to send the gospel to the entire world. The new announcement of computers and Internet was super shocking. I don’t know when it will take effect in this mission but it will be super helpful to missionaries. If Satan is going to use the internet, then the Lord will need to use the internet for his plan of Salvation. We have reached a digital age and it will be exciting. I don’t even think I will be in the mission when it finally reaches to Mexico but I believe this was definitely inspired.

I’m curious about your thoughts now on missionary work with Gail and Clay now after that conference. Have you thought about it??

What are your plans as a family to help hasten the work of the Lord??? I want to hear your answer in the next weeks letter. Come up with goals and work together to be able to achieve them.

Oh wow. Aubrey is engaged. I’m pretty sure there are lots of people I know now that are married or engaged. I just haven’t heard about them.

Thank you for your support and love. It really does help.

Remember to stay strong, do good, and help the Lord to hasten his work (it’s a commandment.)  I love you!

ps. It’s starting to rain now because the raining season has come.

We went to Estadio Jalisco

Thank you so much for the package. I was super excited to get it. It had exactly what I needed. It certainly is going to help me. The week went pretty well. We reached the standard of excellence in a few areas this week. We found 7 new investigators. I hope that they will progress. Could you please pray for us to have progressing investigators?

Today we went to the Estadio Jalisco, where the soccer teams play such as Atlas and Chivas. It was pretty interesting. Its huge! ( The place is so huge that he had to use the panorama feature on his camera to get it.)  I hope you enjoy those pictures that I sent you.

Movie projector??? You spoiled boys! hahaha :) That’s pretty neat. It will be super weird to return home with everything different, from family members to home changes.

Thank you for your testimony Mom. I can tell that you have come to know Christ and his Atonement since I have left. Continue to learn about Him and what he has done, because in reality without him there would be no hope and nothing to look forward too. Now think about all the people in the world that don’t have that hope and think that they don’t have a purpose in life. For that exact reason, all of the members of the church should join together and build the kingdom of God. The second coming is close. Let us prepare for his coming and listen to the modern day prophets. Take advantage of this conference next Sunday. It will be historical in the rising up of the church of  Christ. Find people for the missionaries to teach now. The time is short and we must help the Lord in hastening his Marvelous Work.

Do good, stay strong, and help build the kingdom of God through magnifying your callings and doing missionary work. I love you.

I'm going to work super hard these last 6 months

How is everyone? My companion is doing well. He is a quiet guy and I don’t think that is going to change until he is a trainer. But it’s fine, it makes me a more talkative person which really helps my Spanish. It really can be a kick in the behind sometimes but it does help.

I’m sure it’s quite exciting that school is out. Enjoy your vacation when you have it. Some people don’t have vacations (cough cough Missionaries). Its fine! I’m going to work super hard these last 6 months. They are going to fly by so fast. Then I will have my one week vacation. hahaha

That was so good of you mom for taking those pictures of Drew.

Keep it up with Gail and Clay! Like I said....I want them to be members before I get home. You’ve got 6 months. :)

This week we found some good new investigators. We just need investigators to go to church. Please pray that Elizabeth, Agustin, Rafael, and Maria del Carmen will be able to go to church this Sunday.

This week I have a capacitation for leaders tomorrow. I’m pretty excited to be able to go to it.

I’m not quite sure when I’ll get the package but it is possible that I receive it tomorrow. I’ll make sure to let you know.

We also had another spiritual experience with Elizabeth and Agustin. They received their answer to their prayers in the moment and they know that the Book of Mormon is true. Amazing how that works!

I love you all and hope that everything goes well. Do good, stay strong and trust in God.

We had a baptism

We had a good week. We did have the baptism this week. It went very well. She was super excited. She had a spiritual experience and she even bore her testimony on Sunday.

How did your week go? Did Memorial day go well?

Don't worry. I'm living, I just don't have much time to write today. I'm super sorry, but I do hope you enjoy the pictures of Rosario's baptism.

I love you!

(They also had a zone conference.  I saw on his mission president's wife's blog.)

We have a baptism this Saturday

How is everything going with each and every one of you? How is work? How is school? How are sports going? Where do you think you are going to serve a mission?

Thank you for fixing my account. That makes me feel good. I need the money for sunscreen. They give us a little amount of money here and a little and insufficient money for transport. We have to use a lot of buses.

Today is transfer day. I'm staying here with my companion. Elder Montiel left to go to Manzanillo today. I'm going to miss him, but that is where the Lord needs him now.

I'ts exciting to hear that Coronado is winning state in almost every sport.

How was the cabin?

Yes. Helaman 5:12 is a very good scripture. I enjoy it and it is one of my favorite scriptures. I llove llotss of different ssccriptures now.

We have a baptism this Saturday for our golden investigator. She has already given out assignments for her baptism and is preparing her baptismal program. She is super ready. I'll send you pictures next week of her baptism.

Raandom comment. Lots of people have said that I haave bettered my Spanish since I first got here. That's a good feeling. Now I want to train an American so that I can better my Spaanish even more. They say that when an American trains an Aamerican, the trainer learns more and better of the language. Thaat is what I want.

Do good, Stay strong, and look for miracles. I love you!

Love,
Elder Loveland

ps. next weeks letter willl be better. THis keuy board is driving me crazy. haha

(Mom...after this I think he needs an American companion to teach him English again.  haha)

Have faith that God will answer your prayers

How was your week?  My week went well.  We really had a spiritual experience and a miracle happen this week.  It was also really nice to be able to talk to each and every one of you.  It was a blessing for me that helped me out.  Well here it goes for the spiritual experience.

We found a new investigator this week by the name of Rosario.  She is the best friend of a member in our ward.  She is seventeen years old and we teach her in the home of her best friend, Nayeli Benitez.  We taught the restoration with her.  Then towards the end we invited her to be baptized on June 1st.  At first she thought it was too early.  We promised her that she would be ready and prepared for that day.  She accepted it but not with much conviction.  We then got to the Book of Mormon, and we explained the promise in Moroni, 10:3-5.  She read it and we invited her to pray that very moment to know that the Book of Mormon was true, and if what we taught was true.  We kneeled down and explained to her to wait in silence after the prayer for a minute or two to recognize the answer from God.  We also explained how she would receive her answer.  She then offered the prayer.  She included how she was asking with all of her heart.  At the end of the prayer, we waited in silence with our eyes closed.  The Spirit was super strong.  She got up and began to cry.  I asked her if God had answered her prayer.  She said, “Yes” after taking a big breath.  Tears rolled down her cheeks as we explained to her that this is what God wants her to do.  She had conviction that the Book of Mormon was true, and knew that she needed to be baptized on June 1st.  I felt like I was truly filled with the Spirit.  During the week we visited her a couple more times and she is really excited to be baptized on that date.  She just wants it to come quicker.  She has already told the young women in the ward her experience and how she knows that the Book of Mormon is true.  We also heard that she is already wanting to go out with us to visit people and to share her testimony and story.  She is a golden investigator.  What a blessing it was to be a powerful instrument in the Lord’s hands.  We also touched the hearts of Nayeli and Nayeli’s mom.  We have gained a lot more trust from them and everyone else that heard about that appointment. There’s a missionary moment for all of you.  J

We also had a multi mission conference with Elder D. Todd Christofferson.  It was neat.  We took a picture with him and the mission.  We also got to shake his hand.  When he talked to us, I could just feel that he has seen Jesus Christ.  The Spirit just eminates off of him.  Younger siblings….you will truly learn to love general conferences and visits of apostles when you get to your mission.  Hopefully you can learn now to appreciate the guidance from them.

I love you!  Do good, stay strong, have faith that God will answer your prayers, and prepare to serve a mission whether you be my brother, my parents, sister or friend.  It will change your life for the better.
