We have a baptism this Saturday

How is everything going with each and every one of you? How is work? How is school? How are sports going? Where do you think you are going to serve a mission?

Thank you for fixing my account. That makes me feel good. I need the money for sunscreen. They give us a little amount of money here and a little and insufficient money for transport. We have to use a lot of buses.

Today is transfer day. I'm staying here with my companion. Elder Montiel left to go to Manzanillo today. I'm going to miss him, but that is where the Lord needs him now.

I'ts exciting to hear that Coronado is winning state in almost every sport.

How was the cabin?

Yes. Helaman 5:12 is a very good scripture. I enjoy it and it is one of my favorite scriptures. I llove llotss of different ssccriptures now.

We have a baptism this Saturday for our golden investigator. She has already given out assignments for her baptism and is preparing her baptismal program. She is super ready. I'll send you pictures next week of her baptism.

Raandom comment. Lots of people have said that I haave bettered my Spanish since I first got here. That's a good feeling. Now I want to train an American so that I can better my Spaanish even more. They say that when an American trains an Aamerican, the trainer learns more and better of the language. Thaat is what I want.

Do good, Stay strong, and look for miracles. I love you!

Love,
Elder Loveland

ps. next weeks letter willl be better. THis keuy board is driving me crazy. haha

(Mom...after this I think he needs an American companion to teach him English again.  haha)

Have faith that God will answer your prayers

How was your week?  My week went well.  We really had a spiritual experience and a miracle happen this week.  It was also really nice to be able to talk to each and every one of you.  It was a blessing for me that helped me out.  Well here it goes for the spiritual experience.

We found a new investigator this week by the name of Rosario.  She is the best friend of a member in our ward.  She is seventeen years old and we teach her in the home of her best friend, Nayeli Benitez.  We taught the restoration with her.  Then towards the end we invited her to be baptized on June 1st.  At first she thought it was too early.  We promised her that she would be ready and prepared for that day.  She accepted it but not with much conviction.  We then got to the Book of Mormon, and we explained the promise in Moroni, 10:3-5.  She read it and we invited her to pray that very moment to know that the Book of Mormon was true, and if what we taught was true.  We kneeled down and explained to her to wait in silence after the prayer for a minute or two to recognize the answer from God.  We also explained how she would receive her answer.  She then offered the prayer.  She included how she was asking with all of her heart.  At the end of the prayer, we waited in silence with our eyes closed.  The Spirit was super strong.  She got up and began to cry.  I asked her if God had answered her prayer.  She said, “Yes” after taking a big breath.  Tears rolled down her cheeks as we explained to her that this is what God wants her to do.  She had conviction that the Book of Mormon was true, and knew that she needed to be baptized on June 1st.  I felt like I was truly filled with the Spirit.  During the week we visited her a couple more times and she is really excited to be baptized on that date.  She just wants it to come quicker.  She has already told the young women in the ward her experience and how she knows that the Book of Mormon is true.  We also heard that she is already wanting to go out with us to visit people and to share her testimony and story.  She is a golden investigator.  What a blessing it was to be a powerful instrument in the Lord’s hands.  We also touched the hearts of Nayeli and Nayeli’s mom.  We have gained a lot more trust from them and everyone else that heard about that appointment. There’s a missionary moment for all of you.  J

We also had a multi mission conference with Elder D. Todd Christofferson.  It was neat.  We took a picture with him and the mission.  We also got to shake his hand.  When he talked to us, I could just feel that he has seen Jesus Christ.  The Spirit just eminates off of him.  Younger siblings….you will truly learn to love general conferences and visits of apostles when you get to your mission.  Hopefully you can learn now to appreciate the guidance from them.

I love you!  Do good, stay strong, have faith that God will answer your prayers, and prepare to serve a mission whether you be my brother, my parents, sister or friend.  It will change your life for the better.

Losing interest in writing

I’m doing all right. I’m sorry I don’t write experiences as much. To be honest, I really dislike writing or spending time to write now. As the mission goes on, I lose more and more interest in writing home. I’m sorry but that’s how I feel.

I’m not going to write much right now either because we will talk on Sunday. By the way I need you to get your Skype profile name again. I will be calling you at 5pm my time. We will have one hour.  I’m not sure if it will be Skype or phone but please be prepared. I want it to be organized especially since we only have one hour. Thank you!

Prepare questions. I will too.

I love you. Have a good week.

ps. No one was baptized.

I caught him as he was writing and had this conversation:

Hi sweetie.  Are you really okay?  My Skype name is .......
I love you.  Have a good week!

I’ve just had tough weeks and I am just losing more interest in writing home. Again sorry... I know you are all thinking, well all the other missionaries write good experiences and spiritual moments. Why not C?   I’m not sure. Maybe I just don’t recognize all of them or I forget them. Sometimes I don’t have the time to write them. Sometimes I am just not in the mood to write. Please forgive me for not giving more experiences. I will try to give an experience every week from now on.
